About the presenter:
Nicole is presently the French Consultant for NLSD. She has been working for the last three years on the French Enhancement Program in the Division. Her role is to enhance the FSL program, as well as the Immersion programs in NLSD. She retired in June 2006, after having taught for 35 years. She has 7 years experiences in the Francophone program, and 28 in the French Immersion program, six of which where taught in Germany. She has also taught some FSL classes. From 1999 to 2006, she was a member of the NLSD Cadre for Literacy, where she studied best practices and inductive strategies. At that time, she also helped trained teachers in the NLSD on the Picture Word Inductive Model and its Seven Dimensions. I have given numerous workshops on the Picture Word Inductive Model at the Conseil Français in Edmonton, the ACPI in Toronto, at the Institute. She has also been hired to train the French Immersion teachers in the Picture Word Inductive Model in Saskatoon. Over the last few years, she has developed French resources and evaluation materials for the Picture Word Inductive Model.
