About Us

Presented by: Ron Lindsay

Date: November 26, 2008

Location: Hughenden School Hughenden, Alberta

About the Workshop:

Today we will look at how we can encourage our students to take risks and challenge them to move to a deeper understanding of mathematics.  We will look at personal strategies and mental math activities that can be used in the K/1 setting.  Part of the day will be spent sharing lessons that you have tried, trying new activities that you can take back to your classroom and a focus as to how they relate to the outcomes in the new Program of Studies.  You will leave with practical idea’s to use in your classroom, and a better understanding of what the outcome could look like in your classroom.
