About the workshop:

Curriculum overview (what has changed) focus on integers, fractions, decimals, percents – how do we reinforce conceptualization of these number concepts using manipulatives. Focus on patterns, communication, problem-solving, personal strategies and mental math. Come prepared to discuss, share and collaborate with your colleagues.

 

 

About the Presenter(s):

Sylvia Malo is a full time Math Coordinator/Consultant for Learning Network. Sylvia has also been involved in conducting in-services at her district level and at Math Summer Institutes in Edmonton.

 

Ron Lindsay is the principal of the School of Hope, AISI Coordinator for East Central Catholic School Division and part-time Math Professional Development Coordinator for Learning Network. Ron is also part of the Alberta Education/Learning Network Math In-service cohort.
