Advisory Committee
Learning Network believes collaboration with the K-12 community, in the planning and delivery of professional development, is essential to the achievement of its goals. Collaboration with stakeholders serves to:
- Build leadership capacity in the K-12 community.
- Create a better understanding of the needs of the K-12 community.
- Bring about shared commitment within the K-12 community.
- Provides the K-12 community with meaningful learning opportunities.
- Ensures Learning Network is responsive to the needs of the K-12 community.
As such, Learning Network encourages representatives from the K-12 school community to actively serve as advisors to the consortia. Currently, Learning Network facilitates the following committee meetings:
- Social Studies Advisory Committee
- K-9 Math Advisory Committee
- Second Languages Advisory Committee
- The Learning Network/ ATA/ South School Systems Needs Assessment Survey Development/Comprehensive PD Planning Committee
- The Learning Network/ ATA/ North School Systems Needs Assessment Survey Development/Comprehensive PD Planning Committee
- The South Support Staff Conference Advisory Committee
- The North Support Staff Conference Advisory Committee
- Distributed Learning Advisory Committee
