Advisory Committee

Learning Network believes collaboration with the K-12 community, in the planning and delivery of professional development, is essential to the achievement of its goals. Collaboration with stakeholders serves to:

• Build leadership capacity in the K-12 community.
• Create a better understanding of the needs of the K-12 community.
• Bring about shared commitment within the K-12 community.
• Provides the K-12 community with meaningful learning opportunities.
• Ensures Learning Network is responsive to the needs of the K-12 community.

As such, Learning Network encourages representatives from the K-12 school community to actively serve as advisors to the consortia. Currently, Learning Network facilitates the following committee meetings:

• Social Studies Advisory Committee
• K-9 Math Advisory Committee
• Second Languages Advisory Committee
• The Learning Network/ ATA/ South School Systems Needs Assessment Survey Development/Comprehensive PD Planning Committee
• The Learning Network/ ATA/ North School Systems Needs Assessment Survey Development/Comprehensive PD Planning Committee
• The South Support Staff Conference Advisory Committee
• The North Support Staff Conference Advisory Committee
• Distributed Learning Advisory Committee
