We are planning a FULL two days (8:30 - 3:50) of learning for you with many sessions to offer.  The Summer Literacy Institute is designed to be a mix of keynote and featured sessions as well as breakouts with presenters (authors and teachers) from around the province.  Timely discussions, great resources and book talks, with plenty of choices for participants is the goal and we're very excited about the support we've received to this point.  We still have a few teachers/speakers we've reached out to to confirm, and will be finalizing the local (provincial) representatives through the first two weeks of July.

Alberta Teachers $50 for the two days.
Non-Alberta Teachers $80 for the two days.

As our confirmations come in we'll be updating this website created specifically for the conference.

The conference this year will be online, primarily utilizing the zoom platform, with several concurrent sessions, keynotes will be webinar format, other sessions will use the meeting format and a website of links participants will be able to choose from each day.

Please note that a portion of any proceeds beyond our expenses will be redirected into a draw(s) for classroom library book purchases.

Below is a list of confirmed speakers.  We will continue to add over the summer.
Our Website (above) had more information on each of our presenters.
The Keynotes are the authors of #Disrupt Texts: Tricia Ebarvia, Lorena German, Julia Torres, and Dr. Kim Parker.
The Feature Speakers are: Kylene Beers, David Bouchard, Kass Minor, Kristin Ziemke, and Adrienne Gear.
