Off-Campus Education
Off-campus education provides opportunities for junior and senior high school students to explore and expand their career interests, skills and knowledge related to work and other life roles.

Alberta Education permits school authorities to develop off-campus education programs and courses in accordance with prescribed guidelines and procedures. Such programs allow junior and senior high school students to investigate a variety of career opportunities.

They also allow senior high school students to gain practical experience as they apply and expand their knowledge, skills and attitudes in contexts that will assist them in making wise decisions regarding their future education, training and employment upon leaving senior high school and allow for the smooth transition from school to work and/or post-secondary institutions.

This session will provide an update on Off-Campus Education and allow time for participants to collaborate with other jurisdictions to build a collaborative community of those involved with Off-Campus planning within school jurisdictions. This is the time to ask questions of Alberta Education to facilitate your work with the provision of Off-Campus opportunities for students.

This learning opportunity is being offered through curriculum implementation funding from Alberta Education.
