Over the months we have explored a variety of social emotional learning (SEL) constructs form both the Circle of Courage and CASEL models. We have surveyed various games, activities and tools that support student engagement in SEL as well as implemented the funnel model of debriefing to solicit deeper meaning from participation in the various activities, games and tools. Lastly, we have investigated how to best adapt our programming to meet the needs of specific age groups and populations. This fourth workshop is designed to bring it all together. We will be going through each of the Circle of Courage and CASEL SEL constructs to highlight appropriate interventions. Lastly, we will debrief the interventions as well as debrief our experience through these workshops as a whole. We will leave this experience a deep understanding of the value of social emotional learning along with the how, why and when to engage students in a large variety of SEL tools and interventions.

This learning opportunity is being offered through a grant from Alberta Education.
